An educational touch-sensor drum set that visualizes sound by utilizing projection mapping and Arduino technology.

Sound and light share the fundamental nature of vibration. By combining audio and visual elements, I aimed to create an interactive learning tool in the form of a drum visualization kit. With the use of conductive paint, an Arduino Touch Board, and the method of projection mapping, this project was born.
Audio Visualization
A typical drum set consists of a bass drum, three toms, and a snare drum. Through my research, I learned the fundamental workings of a drum kit - drum shells with larger diameters and greater depth result in the deeper and thicker sounds. In contrast, lighter and brighter sounds result from a shallower shell or one with a smaller diameter.
